Sue van Gageldonk is an illustrator and artist trained in illustration at the department of Visual Communications at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts in the Netherlands. Sue works with various techniques, appreciates traditional mediums and loves to explore new ones; recently she started a tattoo apprenticeship. Sue is also a bike messenger and rides hundreds of kilometers in and around her hometown Maastricht.
“I’ve seen women’s cycling has been trying to pull away from the traditional men’s world in cycling for a long time now. I’m not a professional cyclist at all myself, but I can only imagine how they could break away from the status quo and create a better future for themselves and the sport.”
Sue’s work can be found on her website and instagram page. You can also purchase the original lino print (from a limited run of 50 prints) directly from Sue, who will again donate 5 euro per print to The Cyclist’s Alliance.
There are 50 tees from this design, so stock is limited! For each t-shirt sold, 5 euro will be donated to The Cyclists’ Alliance where the money will be used to support pro and upcoming riders.
